A Geek Squad is a technology team in a school that provides a leadership role to students every morning while they learn about computer basics. Student teams visit classrooms around the school to turn on and log onto the computers daily. They also tidy up around the computers and make sure the computers and the area around them are clean.
These students are also able to lightly assess if there is trouble with the computers and can communicate that to the School Technology Specialist for the classroom teacher.
The Geek Squad Students are responsible for helping train younger students in the classrooms they visit so they have the knowledge to complete these tasks at other times during the day or if the team doesn't make it into their room. These students hopefully want to contribute their time to this cause and continue the cycle to train the next Geek Squad.
